Yammer (Microsoft) approached us to create a video for their ‘Red Dot Myth Buster’ campaign to combat misconceptions around Yammer usage. They had crowdsourced content from their users, asking them to send in videos (mostly shot on smartphones) explaining how Yammer helps them communicate within their organisation. We were posed with the challenge of transforming this low quality content into an engaging piece that could be used to tackle myths and misconceptions about Yammer. Rather than trying to mask the low quality footage, we took a creative approach of combining the footage with hand-drawn animation and dynamic props the concept of a children’s puppet show.

The results speak for themselves. The video was launched on the Yammer network and presented at Microsoft Global Headquarters, reaching over 100,000 people. In response to the impact of the video, the Head of Marketing at Microsoft said “Why do we even have a Marketing Department?”
