Impact Procurement Policy

Digital Storytellers passionately support the development of Australia’s impact economy.

Having a positive social and local impact is important to everyone in our team.

We are committed to working with local service providers who operate their business as a social enterprise or not-for-profit entity and have a positive local socio-economic impact in Australia. Our staff and contractors are Australian residents and where possible, we purchase all of our core products and non-labor expenses, from independent suppliers in Australia.

Digital Storytellers also maintains a list of preferred local service providers. These providers have clear social and local economic impact objectives that align with Digital Storytellers values, and deliver their services at the quality we expect at Digital Storytellers.

The list of preferred suppliers includes:

  • Trainers and mentors for our programs.
  • Videographers, film-makers and editors.
  • Speakers and event hosts.
  • Facilitators and story sharing specialists.
  • Event managers – design and coordination.
  • Social Impact measurement specialists.
  • Space hosts – to support events at our Lab.
  • Decorators.
  • Caterers.
  • Wait staff and kitchen hands.
  • Photographers.
  • Audio Visual service providers.
  • Equipment rental services.
  • Interpretation services – Auslan, and various languages.

Using these service providers helps Digital Storytellers measure and maximise its social impact.

If you, or someone you know, would like to be added to the Impact Story Lab’s preferred supplier list please contact Digital Storytellers who can guide you through our impact procurement process.

Digital Storytellers work with both Australian and international clients or customers, and while we love working with people around the world, we are committed to ensuring that Australian organisations make up more than 70% of our client base.
