Situated in a City of Sydney-supported space just outside the city’s CBD, The Impact Story Lab is now expanding and ready to host you!
Our newly-fitted out space can host inclusive events and workshops, residencies for values-aligned individuals and organisations, and co-working. We’re also building a community of storytelling partners, ambassadors and collaborators, all of whom are collectively working to create new narratives and systemic change in Australia and across the world.

The Impact Lab story
For over a decade, Digital Storytellers has been working with stories and storytellers in service of creating a better narrative for the world. In addition to our core skills in film-making and storytelling training, we used the entrepreneurial know-how of social enterprise to both sustain ourselves, but also attain deep experience and knowledge in the business for good movement in Australia and overseas.
Throughout the whole journey, we always had an office to work from, but we never had a permanent home for ourselves and our community. That’s where the Impact Story Lab concept was born.
After all the disruption brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Sydney awarded a long-term accommodation grant to Digital Storytellers, situated at the William Street Creative Hub in Darlinghurst. We simultaneously secured a further grant with CreateNSW to build out studios and prepare for the delivery of hybrid and in-person events, workshops, and all forms of digital production.
The Impact Story Lab has recently expanded — and we’re now ready to welcome in a wider community of storytellers, creatives and changemakers. Whether you’ve collaborated with us before or are just discovering the Lab, we’d love to invite you into this shared space for connection, creativity and purpose.
