Who is this for?
Experienced filmmakers
You’ve worked on ads, promos, maybe short films — and you know how to make things look good. But now you’re searching for something deeper.
You’re ready to move from execution to collaboration, telling stories with care, purpose and integrity.

Are you a purpose driven organisation who would like to have a short film made about your impact?
Have you got an impact story to tell? Would you like to offer the people engaging with your programs the opportunity to share their story?
At Digital Storytellers we want to make impact storytelling available to everyone. We have created a program, supported by the City of Sydney, that makes impact storytelling affordable to all organisations having an impact in Sydney.
For an affordable investment, purpose-led organisations can engage participants in our Pathways to Purpose Program to make a short impact film for them.
Under our mentorship and support, participants will work with purpose-led organisations to create a short film about their impact.
Organisations who participate in the program must be available to work with participants to craft their story canvas, and create opportunities to film, and coordinate interviews with people who will help bring the story to life. You may also send someone from your team to participate in the 11 week program, at the Impact Story Lab if you wish.

What’s Involved?
Your story will be crafted using our signature Story Canvas framework—designed to bring clarity, heart and impact to your message.
Participants will interview your team, capture footage and shape a digital story that brings your mission to life.
To get the most out of the experience, you’ll need to:
- Be available to guide the participant through your story
- Help coordinate filming opportunities and interviews
You also have the option to join the full program yourself—held weekly on Thursdays (5:30–8:30pm) at the Impact Story Lab in Sydney—building your team’s storytelling capacity along the way.
All stories are produced under the guidance of our experienced team to ensure they’re high-quality, values-aligned, and ready to be shared.
To help us keep this program accessible, we ask for a financial contibution from participating organisations—an affordable investment that supports both your story and the next generation of impact storytellers.
